In fourth grade religion they learned how a soft pretzel was created by a monk. They learned that pretzels resemble praying hands, remind us of the Holy Trinity- how God is one and the three holes are to represent the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and that God is eternal (circle of the outer pretzel).
