Leavens, Bridget

Bridget Leavens is the sixth-grade teacher at St. Agnes Catholic School, bringing a wide range of teaching experience to our community. Originally from Atchison, Kansas, she attended Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, where she majored in Political Science with minors in Intercultural Studies and Justice Education.

Her journey in education began with the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Program at the University of Notre Dame, where she earned her Master of Education while teaching fifth grade for two years in Fort Worth, Texas. She then taught English as a Foreign Language for two years in Santiago, Chile, through the Chile ACE (ChACE) program, and earned her English as a New Language certification. Before returning to Kansas, she taught fourth and fifth grade for six years in Denver, Colorado.

Bridget and her family, including her husband, Chris, and two sons, Charlie and Jack, are excited to be a part of the St. Agnes community.
