Rams 101:  Volume II—Events and Schedules

There are a variety of things going on once August hits.  Don’t miss it and add these important dates and events to your calendar now!  More information will be coming.

Thursday, August 17:  New Family Orientation, 6pm, School Library.  This orientation will include everything you need to know for new parents including uniform information, drop off/pick up procedures, spirit days, lunch information, before/after school care and much, much more.  It’s an excellent opportunity to ask questions and meet other parents.

Sunday, August 20:  Kick Off, Noon (Mass), 1pm Kick off at School.  This is an opportunity to bring your school supplies and meet your teacher!  Then you’ll head to the gym for the volunteer fair and learn about the many opportunities to get involved and reconnect with parents.  Finally, the Dad’s Club is hosting the ice cream social in the front yard.  Yes, the 2017-2018 school year is about to start!

Tuesday, August 22:  First Day of School!

Tuesday, August 22:  First PTO Meeting, 8:15am, Cafeteria.  Enjoy a cup of coffee and some donuts with your fellow parents to get the year started.  It’s a very informal meeting but a great way to reconnect or meet new parents.  All parents are invited to attend PTO meetings.  You do not need to volunteer or be part of an existing committee in order to attend and be informed. There is great information shared during these meetings and it’s a great way to stay informed.

Saturday, August 26:  VIRTUS Training, 9am, Parish Center.  This seminar is required by the Archdiocese in order to volunteer at our school and with our students.  Click here to register.

Thursday, August 31:  Back to School Night, 6pm.  To start, the gathering will be in the church and then after a brief introduction, all parents will proceed to the school and meet in their students’ classrooms.  This will be a time when you get to meet with your student’s teachers and learn about what his or her expectations are in the classroom.  This is for parents only and child care is not provided.

Saturday, September 16:  Fall Festival, 6pm, Parking Lot.  This is a collaborative effort between the school and the parish for kids, adults and extended family.  Food is available for purchase, drinks and games for the kids and music for the whole family.  Be sure to check the parish bulletin for more information.

Thursday, September 21:  PTO Culver’s Night, 5pm-8pm.  This is a PTO fundraiser so take your family to Culver’s for dinner this evening and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the students of St. Agnes.

Wednesday, October 11:  PTO Meeting, 7pm, Cafeteria.  Get all the latest updates and be part of a very active and effective committee.  All parents are invited to attend PTO meetings.  You do not need to volunteer or be part of an existing committee in order to attend and be informed. There is great information shared during these meetings and it’s a great way to stay informed.

Saturday, October 14:  Trivia Night, 6pm, Parish Center.  This is the gift gathering party for the auction and is a great way to socialize with other parents.  You can put a table together or register individually and you will be placed.  More information to come!
