Tuesday, August 22:  First Day of School!  (Noon Dismissal)  And, don’t forget the first PTO meeting of the year! Enjoy a cup of coffee and some donuts with your fellow parents to get the year started.  It’s a very informal meeting but a great way to reconnect or meet new parents.  All parents are invited to attend PTO meetings.  You do not need to volunteer or be part of an existing committee in order to attend and be informed. There is great information shared during these meetings and it’s a great way to stay informed.

Saturday, August 26:  VIRTUS Training, 9am, Parish Center.  This seminar is required by the Archdiocese in order to volunteer at our school and with our students.  Click here to register.

Thursday, August 31:  Back to School Night, 6pm.  To start, the gathering will be in the church and then after a brief introduction, all parents will proceed to the school and meet in their students’ classrooms.  This will be a time when you get to meet with your student’s teachers and learn about what his or her expectations are in the classroom.  This is for parents only and child care is not provided.

2017-2018 Kick-Off: Mark Your Calendar!

The enthusiasm is building! The students are excited to see their friends, parents are excited to see their kids go back to school and the teachers are ready for a new school year!

On Sunday, August 20, plan to kick off the school year.  After noon  mass, you can plan to bring your school supplies and meet your teacher.  Then don’t forget to visit the volunteer fair in the gym…there are a ton of ways to get involved and help make our school successful.  Finally, you’ll need some ice cream after all that work…the Dad’s Club is hosting the ice cream social outside.

It’s going to be a great school year!  Join us!

CYO Updated–August 2017

Don’t forget…with all the other details to pull together for the start of the school year, don’t forget CYO!

Here are some updates and friendly reminders:

  • Early Bird Registration Ends August 20th for Fall Sports!    The late fee is $25.00 per athlete. Click here to register today!
  • Pre-Participation Physicals are required!  Click here to get the form and get started.  These are required before your student can participate.
  • St. Agnes Cross Country team is forming! Come out and join the team!  All boys and girls from grades 3rd through 8th are encouraged to join.  You will learn about setting individual goals, experience a range of running workouts and enjoy the benefits of individual and team competition all while building a healthy body and life style.

The cross country meet course competition includes the following:
3rd and 4th Grades ½ Mile Courses
5th and 6th Grades 1 Mile Courses
7th and 8th Grades 1 ½ Mile Courses

Rams 101:  Volume III—Oh my!  What to wear!!

Yes, this is always confusing and it doesn’t matter if you’re a preschool parent or an 8th grader. You’re always asking yourself, “What is the uniform?”

Click here to view the uniform policy.  This information will outline what is acceptable for each grade level and gender.

2017-2018 Updates to the Dress Code:

  • All students must have their natural hair color.
  • All students must wear tennis shoes.
  • Belts are required for 3rd through 8th.
  • Cargo pants or pants with rivets are not permissible.
  • Reminder:   Preschool cannot wear plaid.

Spirit Days are designated days when students are allowed to wear St. Agnes spirit wear or something red or white rather than their uniform.  They can wear a St. Agnes top of any kind and any type of bottoms (pants or shorts).  These are designated days and can be found on the school calendar.  Click here for the school calendar.

Spirit wear can be purchased through PTO.  Each year, the PTO designs new t-shirts and they are available for purchase.

There are a variety of things going on once August hits.  Don’t miss it and add these important dates and events to your calendar now!  More information will be coming.

Thursday, August 17:  New Family Orientation, 6pm, School Library.  This orientation will include everything you need to know for new parents including uniform information, drop off/pick up procedures, spirit days, lunch information, before/after school care and much, much more.  It’s an excellent opportunity to ask questions and meet other parents.

Sunday, August 20:  Kick Off, Noon (Mass), 1pm Kick off at School.  This is an opportunity to bring your school supplies and meet your teacher!  Then you’ll head to the gym for the volunteer fair and learn about the many opportunities to get involved and reconnect with parents.  Finally, the Dad’s Club is hosting the ice cream social in the front yard.  Yes, the 2017-2018 school year is about to start!

Saturday, September 16:  Fall Festival, 6pm, Parking Lot.  This is a collaborative effort between the school and the parish for kids, adults and extended family.  Food is available for purchase, drinks and games for the kids and music for the whole family.  Be sure to check the parish bulletin for more information.

Thursday, September 21:  PTO Culver’s Night, 5pm-8pm.  This is a PTO fundraiser so take your family to Culver’s for dinner this evening and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the students of St. Agnes.

Wednesday, October 11:  PTO Meeting, 7pm, Cafeteria.  Get all the latest updates and be part of a very active and effective committee.  All parents are invited to attend PTO meetings.  You do not need to volunteer or be part of an existing committee in order to attend and be informed. There is great information shared during these meetings and it’s a great way to stay informed.

Saturday, October 14:  Trivia Night, 6pm, Parish Center.  This is the gift gathering party for the auction and is a great way to socialize with other parents.  You can put a table together or register individually and you will be placed.  More information to come!

Lunches:  Ram’s Café offers delicious, nutritious, well-balanced meals daily.  We offer a daily hot meal, prepared in our kitchen, accompanied by our fresh salad bar that includes many fruits and vegetables.  The salad bar is hearty enough to stand alone as a meal.   Milk is also offered daily and can be purchased separate from the hot lunch or salad bar options.  Click here for more information.

Health Forms:  Every student is required to have these mandatory health forms on file.  Click here for this information.  And if your student is participating in CYO (3rd grade and older), a separate physical and registration form is required.  Click here for more information.

Drop off/Pick up:  With a school like St. Agnes, order and process is important especially in the parking lots during drop off and pick up.  Please be patient and courteous to your fellow school parents.  Click here for the procedures and policies for dropping off and picking up.

CYO Football Camp

St. Ann’s and St. Agnes are hosting a CYO football camp starting Monday, July 17 through Thursday, July 20 at Bishop Miege, 5:30-8:00 p.m.  This CYO experience will include drills for Fundamentals, Blocking, Tackling, Offensive Holes, Position and Stances, Catching Drills, Running Drills, Throwing Drills, Defensive Gap Coverage, Conditioning Drills, Touch Scrimmage each day, “Fastest Player” In Camp competition and many other opportunities to hone your football skills.  The price is reasonable and the learning experience will be positive and beneficial!  Click here for more information and to get the registration form.
