STREAM Saturday: Check out the latest on St. Agnes’ STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities. The 7th and 8th graders are participating in the Team American Rocket Challenge (TARC). The designed rockets will have to travel approximately 850 feet in the air and safely land with two raw, un-cracked eggs. If they qualify, students will be heading to Washington D.C. for the finals. Our students are working hard!!!
Check out St. Agnes’ STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Activities: St. Agnes’ 6th, 7th and 8th graders participated in Burns and McDonnell’s Battle of the Brains. The group worked for six weeks under the guidance of parishioners, parents and teachers to develop a proposal for an outdoor exhibit for Science City. The proposal was entitled Science in Time and will be available for viewing at the Hands-on Science Night (coming up in spring). This was a tremendous experience for these students as they had to research viable and economical building materials for their design and learn to work in large groups.
